Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Xavier Symone Thao (“Fudoshen”, “we”, “us”), who runs Fudoshen as a sole proprietor. By creating an account or using Fudoshen you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Fudoshen.
1. Who can use Fudoshen
You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States. You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password private. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
2. Your membership
- Fudoshen costs $10 per month (plus any sales tax that applies), or the yearly price shown at checkout if you choose yearly billing.
- Free trial. New members start with a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your membership begins and your card is charged on the day the trial ends. We show that date before you enter your card, and it is always shown in Account and billing. There is one free trial per person and per card: if a card has already been used for a Fudoshen trial, billing starts right away.
- Your membership renews automatically each month on the same date and is charged to the card you gave, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Account and billing → Manage billing in the app. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged. Cancelling later stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- If a payment fails, we may pause access until it’s fixed.
- If the price ever changes, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
3. Your content
Everything you put into Fudoshen (tasks, journal entries, money records, drawings and so on) belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store it, sync it between your devices and show it back to you. Your private content is visible only to you.
If you post in the community, you also let other members see that post while it’s up. You can delete your posts at any time.
4. The community
Be kind and constructive. Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or anyone’s private information, and don’t spam or advertise. We may hide posts and suspend posting for anyone who breaks these rules.
5. Things you may not do
- Try to access other people’s accounts or data, or get around Fudoshen’s security.
- Copy, resell, reverse-engineer or republish Fudoshen, its code, design or content.
- Use Fudoshen to break any law, or to send spam or malware.
- Overload or disrupt the service, or use bots to scrape it.
6. Not professional advice
Fudoshen is a planning, tracking and reflection tool. Its money and investing tools, tax estimates, mood check-ins and journal prompts are for your own organization and reflection only. They are not financial, tax, investment, legal, medical or mental-health advice. For decisions about your money or health, talk to a qualified professional. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988 (in the US) or your local emergency number.
7. Fudoshen’s ownership
Fudoshen’s software, design, name, logo and written content belong to Xavier Symone Thao. These Terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using Fudoshen as a member.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Fudoshen running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. Keep your own backup with Download my data if something is important to you.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Account and billing → Delete account; this also cancels your membership. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, and will refund any unused time if we close it without a breach on your part.
10. Disclaimers and limits
Fudoshen is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to Fudoshen is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Some states don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Disputes
Please contact us first at support@fudoshen.com; most problems can be fixed quickly. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law of your state says otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Fudoshen after that means you accept the updated Terms.
